Who would be your audience for your media project?

What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The Media institution that could potentially publish my media product is Conde Nast which produces the most famous fashion magazine Vogue and Vanity Fair. Conde Nast attracts more than 164 million consumers across its 20 magazines. Conde Nast was founded in 1990 and producers worldwide mass media including mine in the future.

The magazine is a up street, chic, indie/alternative music magazine and this company would be ideal to publish my magazine due to the fact they don't publish any music magazine and this would be a great opportunity for them also my magazine is elegant and professional even though the genre is indie/alternative. My target audience is indie/alternative, chic, trendy music fans which in the UK and USA is large at the moment therefore a very popular genre. To support this, in the UK many festivals are held particularly for this genre of music also in the USA the famous Coachella is held for this music too therefore we know my magazine would sell and be popular. The sort of products my magazine would advertise would be high end fashion for male and females but keeping with the chic style, festivals happening in the UK and USA as well as beauty products for both sexes. It would be best placed with a well known publisher as the advantages are huge due to the money factor and it will become a well known magazine but still keeping it at an reasonable price to attract my target audience. However the disadvantages if the magazine is published with a big company that if it does note sell and make a profit like it has been deigned to do the company could then stop publishing it which results in a loss in profit therefore not creating the revenue it was predicted to do. On the other hand the magazine will be available for online and on an app and subscription as well. It is likely that my magazine could fail due to the publisher or my magazine therefore I have to make sure I choose the right company to publish my magazine in order for it not to fail.

Magazines institutions such as  Bauer wouldn't publish my magazine due to the fact they already have a similar magazine like Kerrang! which would be hard to compete with. IPC Media publish magazines like NME and various TV guides like What's on TV or TV Times.
